Wax Leaf Privet - The Privacy Hedge

Wax leaf privet, known botanically as Ligusrum janponica 'texanum' is one of the best plants for creating a medium height privacy hedge. This variety differs in that it grow to only about 12 feet tall, as opposed to other Ligustrums that can grow much taller. Ligustrum have dense and compact form. Their foliage is shiny and dark green. The wax leaf privet is one of the most popular hedges used in California, especially in Los Angeles.  grow well in both hot dry climates, as well as tolerate the winter cold down to 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
